The Deansgate Pub Review

The Deansgate Pub - 321 Deasgate, Manchester, M3 4LQ, UK

Deansgate Pub Manchester
A Friday Night in The Deansgate…

With a pub that is situated very close to Deansgate Locks and Castlefield, it didn’t look too busy however, they did have a bouncer on the door who looked friendly enough.

My first impressions of the pub were; it was warm, relatively busy and deceptively big however, it didn’t seem suitable to people under the age of 25.

There were only two bar staff on but we didn’t have to wait long to be served. They had a selection of ales and lagers, however this was not extensive, and was to a certain acquired taste. I decided to order a glass of wine and was surprised that they only had a selection of two types, chardonnay or sauvignon blanc. I went for the sauvignon blanc and was hugely disappointed, it wasn’t a nice glass of wine, but I have had worse!

Me and my boyfriend found a lovely cozy seat near a fireplace, as it was very cold outside. It was a lovely setting and was nestled in a cove. They also had a good selection of music in the pub.

After the first glass of wine, I decided to test the other to see if it was better. It was slightly better but very acidic. I would not recommend the wine in The Deansgate Pub.

The toilets were clean and functional and to the rear of the pub.
According to their website, they have an outdoor garden area, extensive menus and a function room for hire.

As a 21 year old, it didn’t offer much for my age group and the selection of drinks available was quite limited. It is a nice place for a quick drink on a cold night, however I would not go out of my way to go there.

Let the dmcm guys know if you take a stop off at The Deansgate pub!
